On back, 4 lines of antique handwritten text in old French, of the same period, describing the map. Pierre du Val was a French geographer, cartographer and publisher. He was the nephew of Nicolas Sanson d’Abbeville. They worked together at the court of the King of France. He was the geographer of the King from 1650 to 1683. Size with margins : 56 x 42,5 cm / 22 x 16,5 inches. Condition : very good condition. On strong paper, antique colors. Edition : De l’imprimerie de Pierre Mariette, rue S.
