











Guillaume De L’isle (1675 – 1726). Carte Du Canada ou de la Nouvelle France. De L’Isle’s map was. The first to completely and accurately present the whole of the Great Lakes, including realistic detail of the Avalon Peninsula and the geography of the coastal regions of James and Hudson Bays, together with their major rivers systems. Condition: Not examined outside frame, but in apparent fine condition, with no folds, rips, or tears, and with only slight fade discoloration, given its age that now approaches 300 years.
