1826, FOLDING MAP of CENTRAL EUROPE, Whittle & Laurie_Post-Napoleonic War Treaty. A super Regency “Grand Tour” dissected paper-on-cloth map of Central Europe dated 1826, published by Whittle & Laurie, Fleet St, London 1823 is printed at the bottom, but 1826 at the top! The title on the sleeve explains that the states/countries are divided according to the treaties of 1815 and 1816. Each border is tinted in colour. Bottom left on the map there are scales measured in various countries distances:’French myriametres’,’French leagues’,’German miles’,’Italian miles’,’English miles’,’Spanish leagues’. Original cardboard slip-in sleeve. In very good condition; it has a few grubby marks, but the details are still clearly legible. The cloth backing has holes at the intersection of the folds, but this does not affect the paper map. Dirty marks visible on the folds on the back, plus one or two foxing spots. The protective sleeve has some covering paper loss. Please supersize the photos to see better. Approx: 25″ x 32″ (635mm x 812mm). POST & PACKAGING.
