An Original Antique Map: Not a Reproduction! Description: It is an original antique map with elaborate decorative border, original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. The map is well documented in the cartouche which states that it is was drawn and engraved by Chambon and published in Paris by Desnos. The map was published in the Atlas General, Civil, Ecclesiastique et Militaire, 3rd ed. (Paris: Desnos, 1772), a copy of the original title page with the date is included for authenticity. Size: The map image area between the neat lines measures approximately 9×10 inches (23x26cm) on a 11×15 (29x38cm) page. Condition: Very Good to Excellent condition, blank on reverse, with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued.
