Beautifully designed map showing the Alsace region in northwestern France divided into two parts; the left shows the Bas-Rhin, the right shows Haute-Rhin. The area is famous for grapes and wine including Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Crémant-Alsace. His “Atlas Universel” was one of the most significant atlases of the period, integrating older sources with more modern surveyed maps in order to convey correct geographical and political information.
