19th Century Antique Latin Full Hand Painted Framed Map Of Southern France. This is a listing for a fully matted and framed map of southern France in Latin. It measures 9.5″ by 6.5″ and has been beautifully hand painted and dates to somewhere in the 18th or 19th century since it is printed on wood pulp paper, but is most likely mid 19th century and was originally taken from an unknown book (page 228). A wonderful collectors piece as Latin language maps of this period are somewhat rare, especially with this level of colouring. Kept in excellent condition with only minor foxing, and some discolouration to the edges of the paper and some tears on one side from where it was torn out of a book, but otherwise in pristine condition, fully matted and framed. Please note we are not antique specialists and we lack the necessary equipment to guarantee authenticity, but it has been examined to the best of our abilities.
