Rare Antique 1906 HUGO d'ALESI'Dauphine Savoie' FRANCE MAP Travel Poster

This is a great piece. I recently acquired 2 different examples of these rare map travel posters by Hugo d’Alesi. D’Alesi was well known for his European travel posters and many of his different works come to market often. Not only are they original travel posters they are also early maps of the regions. That is one of the things that really appealed to me. This one is a great view of the Dauphine Savoie region of France. A large poster measuring 42 x 30 inches. Overall in good condition. There is also some minor toning spots the margins as well. There is one tear I noticed that extends into the image along the top but not very visible. There are 2 holes along the right margin that are from the original printing – they were used to hold the paper in place for the lithograph stone. Really all in all it is still an excellent example of this scarce map. Laying it on linen would really make this in an excellent example of this scarce map travel poster. Do your own research on this piece. See if you can find another example. CHECK THE PICTURES ON THIS GREAT PIECE. DONT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY. If you have any questions regarding the work, please dont hesitate to ask. Pictures are an excellent indication of condition. I guarantee and stand 100% behind everything I sell. No reason to open up any sort of cases. Just simply contact me and I will handle any and all problems. 1844 Girard City Map or Plan of Paris, France

1844 Girard City Map or Plan of Paris, France ADDITIONAL IMAGES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST WE SELL ONLY ORIGINAL ANTIQUE MAPS – NOT REPRODUCTIONS. Description: This is an 1844 Xavier Girard city map or plan of Paris, France. The map depicts the city from the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Nation (labeled here as the Place du TrâÂ¥ne) and from the village of Montmartre to the Place d’Italie. Incredibly detailed, nearly every street in the city is labeled, along with innumerable buildings and monuments. Paris in 1844, although resembling the Paris of today, bore some striking differences. The’Haussmannization’ of Paris would not begin for nearly another decade, meaning that the warren of small streets that were an integral part of 17th, 18th, and early 19th century Paris still existed. In 1844, the Palais des Tuileries still stood, blocking public access to the Palais du Louvre. The Jardin des Plantes is referred to here as the Jardin du Roi (King’s Garden), since it was, then, the property of the restored French monarchy. Each of the arrondissements is labeled with Roman numerals and outlined in a different color. A street index is included along both the left and right borders, with two supplemental indexes along the bottom border. This is an extremely rare city map of Paris. We were unable to locate any examples of the 1844 edition in any institutional collections. This map was produced by Xavier Girard and published by J. Size: Printed area measures 23.5 inches high by 39.25 inches wide. Backed on very fragile linen. Linen reinforced in certain places. 1 – 10 days. If your address is a P. We can use your Federal Express Account. Duty varies by country and we cannot predict the amount you will be charged. Some countries are duty free, others are not. Rare Hubert Jaillot Sanson Antique Map Of Europe L'Europe C. 1696 Paris France

An extremely large hand colored map of Europe, published by Hubert Jaillot circa 1696 in Paris France. First issued in 1674, this two sheet map of Europe provides a highly detailed picture of the continent, based upon the geographical compilations and work of Nicolas Sanson which remained unpublished at the time of his death. Jaillot conceived in 1674 of the re-issue of Sanson’s major work (published and unpublished) in an enlarged format. The maps were issued as early as 1674 and were later jointly issued by Sanson and Mortier in Amsterdam. It is in generally fair condition except for a few small holes, staining, and some creasing / cracking due to its extreme age and size. It measures approximately 35 1/4″ wide by 23 1/2″ high. Although not examined out of the frame; due to its importance as one of the earlier maps of Europe; it would benefit from and surely deserves some conservation. All items are custom packaged after the sale when I have a destination address. Please see the pics which do not do it justice. 1802 Antique map department the Seine (Paris) of Chanlaire. France

1802 – Map ancient department of the Seine (Paris) of Chanlaire. The description of this item has been automatically translated. Map of the Department of the Seine (Paris). Card original and rare of the Department of the Seine (Paris). This print is from an atlas of 1802 (year X in the Republican calendar), by Pierre-Gilles Chanlaire and P. This work included 98 cards including the french departments created on the former provinces of the Austrian Netherlands and those of Geneva and the Mont Blanc.. Exceptional and shocking evidence of the beginning of the nineteenth century, at the beginning of the administrative organization of the France. Victor Hugo was born in the year 1802, the Legion of honor was founded by Napoleon, Napoleon became Consul for life, the Parachute was invented.. This card has been enhanced color manually at the time of publication in 1802. Pretty simple style his interest was mainly administrative. No frills, only essential information for understanding this territory in upheaval: the prefecture and Court, district and the tribunal, the chief towns of cantons are shown… Scale in yards and meters. Dimensions: 27cm x 22cm. Very good used condition for a map of this historical significance. Even if she has been consulted (with some inherent flaws in this consultation), it is obvious that its owners have taken care. The map gives a very positive general impression and under glass it will be glowing! Feel free to make me an lower offer if you see visually too many major flaws not necessarily noted in this description.
