Rare Antique 1907 HUGO d’ALESI’Alps & COTE D’Azure’ FRANCE MAP Travel Poster
Rare Antique 1907 HUGO d'ALESI'Alps & COTE D'Azure' FRANCE MAP Travel Poster

This is a great piece. I recently acquired 2 different examples of these rare map travel posters by Hugo d’Alesi. D’Alesi was well known for his European travel posters and many of his different works come to market often. Not only are they original travel posters they are also early maps of the regions. That is one of the things that really appealed to me. This one is a great view of the Cote d’Azur as well as some of the inland areas of France and the Mediteranean Sea. A large poster measuring 42 x 30 inches. Overall in good condition. There is also some minor toning spots the margins as well. Within the image there are a couple minor spots as well as few very small holes within the center area. There are 2 holes along the right margin that are from the original printing – they were used to hold the paper in place for the lithograph stone. Really all in all it is still an excellent example of this scarce map. Laying it on linen would really make this in an excellent example of this scarce map travel poster. Do your own research on this piece. See if you can find another example. CHECK THE PICTURES ON THIS GREAT PIECE. DONT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY. If you have any questions regarding the work, please dont hesitate to ask. Pictures are an excellent indication of condition. I guarantee and stand 100% behind everything I sell. No reason to open up any sort of cases. Just simply contact me and I will handle any and all problems.
