Title / Subject:’Accuratissima Galliae Tabula Gallis Vulgo dicta le Royaume de France divisa tam in Praefecturas generals, quam in Provincias separatas cum regionibus aquisitas. Size: the printed area measures approximately 575mm x 485mm with margins beyond; blank verso. Description: A very finely engraved, highly detailed map of France in the late 17th century. It includes a very decorative title cartouche with allegorical figures. Cartographer / engraver: Frederik de Wit. Condition: Very good condition. Uncoloured and with centrefold as published. Another old vertical fold adjacent to the centrefold, now flattened. Two tiny holes to the map area,, practically invisible when the map is laid down. Two 1cm closed tears to the bottom edge of the sheet, not affecting the printed area. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
