Israel Silvestre (Nancy 1621 – Paris 1691) was a prolific French draughtsman, etcher and print dealer who specialised in topographical views and architectural plates. He was orphaned at a young age, and taken in by his uncle Israel Henriet, a Paris-based print dealer, and friend of Jacques Callot. Subject: Antique print, titled:’Profil de la Ville de Dieppe. This print shows a view of the City of Dieppe and it’s fortifications. Condition: Excellent, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. A few stains in margin. Please study scan carefully. Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 61 x 44.6 cm. The image size is ca. 55.8 x 27.6 cm. Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 24 x 17.6 inch. 22 x 10.9 inch.
