The condition of this map is very good i. Clean and clear image, bright and strong paper, original nice wide margins, and very slight but even age toning. Issued with a centerfold, it was printed on high quality thick handmade laid paper with a blank verso (page numbered 51 on verso). There are some minor stains around the margins, two small (< ½ inch) tears along the top edge of margin, and an expertly repaired tear [4 ½ inch] entering the scale at bottom left corner. Ample photos [front, back, and details] in high resolution are presented for your convenience of identification and judging its high quality independently. This very nice and important map of Flanders [between France and Belgium] and was published in Vaugandy's. Beautifully hand colored in outline and nicely decorated with a large cartouche, it depicted the region in great details. Please note the very low starting price e.
